2012 Membership Subscription Rates are: Individual = £60 (£50EBD) Corporate = £200 (£175 EBD) University = £125 (EBD represents an early bird discount if paid prior to the second club meeting on 14th February) Corporate members may have up to 6 employees attend any event. University members may have up to a total of 4 staff and students attend any event.

2011 looks set to be another interesting year for the club, with many event speakers already confirmed. We welcome the award winning City Academy, Hackney team in February. In March, we are delighted to follow up last year's successful BIM presentation with an expert panel. In April, we have a talk on retrofit solutions in both housing and commercial properties. We plan to visit at least two external projects in May and July. See attached a full list of planned events

We had an excellent turnout at our AGM earlier in the month and those present were treated to a perfectly balanced presentation by Simon Rawlinson. As before a mini video blog has been posted at http://londoncec.blogspot.com to give a taste of the evening. However on this occasion there is no powerpoint presentation to post as Simon did not use one. See attached AGM Report.

We are delighted to be featuring one of Constructing Excellence's 2010 award winners at our February event. The regional award for 'Integration and Collaborative Working' was given to the City Academy, Hackney and Sabah Abed from Willmott Dixon will be presenting and sharing the key aspects of the project which made it such a success in one of the core theme areas for Constructing Excellence and the Clubs We are at the Capital Club in Abchurch Lane on the 8th February, 6 for 6.30pm.

Our Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday the 18th of January at 18:00 at our usual home, the London Capital Club. This will be followed by a presentation from Simon Rawlinson head of Strategic Research & Insight team at EC Harris on prospects for 2011 and beyond

We were delighted to welcome Don Ward, Chief Executive of Constructing Excellence to our September event. Don delivered an interesting presentation on 'Never Waste a Good Crisis' which is a new report from Constructing Excellence authored by Andrew Wolstenholme of Balfour Beatty Management. The report looks to determine the level of industry progress since Rethinking Construction and define the improvement agenda for the next decade
